Pre/Corequisite You must have a suitable grade in NB Adv. Math 120 (or its equivalent).
Text Applied Mathtematics for the Managerial, Life, and Social Sciences third edition
by S. T. Tan (Thompson/Brooks/Cole, 2004)
Syllabus We will attempt to cover the following chapters of the text, though not necessarily in this order.
Chapters: 2, 3, 4, 5, 9
Grades Non-programmable calculators will be permitted during the midterms and final exam. You must bring your student ID with you to the midterm and final exam.
  1. Final Examination (50%)
  2. Assignments (10%): Due at the start of class on Fridays.
    NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE MARKED
  3. Midterm (20%) each: October 7, 2005, November 4, 2005. There will be no make-up tests. If you have a valid written excuse, marks for the test will be redistributed.
