Functional Programming

• Simon Thompson: The Craft of Functional Programming, Addison Wesley, 2nd edition, 1999. Call number QA 76.62 .T43 1999.

  A good, more practically oriented textbook.

• Richard Bird: Introduction to Functional Programming Using Haskell, Prentice Hall, 2nd edition, 1998. Available upon request from your instructor.

  A very theoretical book, ideal for people mathematically inclined. The book however proceeds very slowly toward lists, which is a mismatch with the way the course progresses.
